{"id":35,"date":"2019-06-04T15:43:35","date_gmt":"2019-06-04T19:43:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cognimmune.com\/?page_id=35"},"modified":"2019-06-04T15:44:40","modified_gmt":"2019-06-04T19:44:40","slug":"will-you-help-stop-the-madness","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/cognimmune.com\/index.php\/will-you-help-stop-the-madness\/","title":{"rendered":"Will You Help Stop The Madness?"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Depression affects more than 300 million people worldwide every year which is nearly the equivalent of the population of the United States.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An additional 260 million people suffer from anxiety disorders<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">More Americans suffer from depression than coronary heart disease, cancer, and HIV\/AIDS.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Close to 800 000 people die due to suicide every year and suicide is the second leading cause of death in 15-29-year-olds.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">129 people die by suicide in the USA alone <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">each and every day<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ninety percent of all people who die by suicide have a diagnosable psychiatric disorder at the time of their death.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mental health disorders cost the global economy $1 trillion in lost productivity a year<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the total economic burden of MDD(Major Depressive Disorder) in the United States alone is now estimated to be $210.5 billion per year, representing a 21.5% increase from $173.2 billion per year in 2005.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Diagnoses of major depression in the U.S. have risen by 33% since 2013, according to US insurer Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS). And this is rising even faster among millennials (up 47%) and adolescents (an increase of 47% for boys and 65% for girls).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A 2017 study found that up to 300,000 Britons lose their jobs each year because of mental illnesses<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each of these statistics doesn\u2019t tell the whole story of the seriousness of mental illness because they represent people directly affected.
